A short story about us
For more than 120 years, our church has been part of the life of Whittlesford. Beginning as a Congregational church and now part of the United Reformed Church, we continue a long tradition of faith, welcome and service. Together with St Mary & St Andrew Parish Church, we are what is called a Local Ecumenical Partnership, one church in the village working in two buildings. The ancient parish church is the setting for our Sunday worship while our more modern church building provides a space where people of all ages can meet, belong and find support, friendship and opportunities to explore faith, and a new style of worship can emerge.
Caring for creation is an important part of our Christian faith. Through a major refurbishment, we have created a modern, energy-efficient building designed to serve the village for generations to come. Powered by renewable energy through solar panels, battery storage and an air-source heat pump, our carbon-neutral community hub offers a warm, welcoming and sustainable space where people can gather, build friendships and enjoy all that the village has to offer.
